The first step to creating change in your life is deciding that you are not going to stay where you’re at. This is crucial in figuring out how to make life better for yourself. To create the change we must understand how we arrived at our current reality.
How Did This Happen
It might be hard to swallow but you created or manifested the circumstances you are currently in. So if you’re not happy with where you’re at, know that you have the ability to change it.
You might be thinking to yourself that “I would never create something that was unpleasant or that makes me unhappy.” But that’s not true. You unintentionally drew to yourself all that is in your life by the Law of Attraction.
What is The Law Of Attraction?
It’s just like any of the laws of the universe, it doesn’t matter whether you believe it or not, it’s still true. If you jump off a building, you will fall to the ground. This is in accordance with the Law of Gravity. It’s the same with the Law of Attraction. Simply put this means things create like effects.
Every day you are creating vibrations with your thoughts that are being sent out to the universe. You attract the energy that is in harmony with your vibration. You also attract people that are in line with your vibration or frequency.
In simple terms, it’s like a radio. If you don’t like what music is playing then you just turn the channel. The same concept applies to your thoughts. Look at the results you are getting. And if they aren’t what you want, then you must change your thoughts.
You must change the vibration that you are sending out to the universe to change what you attract back to you. The universe can only send back to you things that are in harmony with your thoughts or vibrations.
If you are unhappy in your life and all you think about is how bad things are, then the Law of Attraction will continue to send bad things your way. But if you only think positive thoughts then in accordance with the law, only positive things will come back to you.

The Power Of Our Thoughts
You must change your thoughts to change what is drawn to you. If you need more money but you only think about all the debt you have, The Law of Attraction will continue to bring debt to you.
You must start to believe that your thoughts have power. You must also believe that you have the power to control them. When you realize this then you will know that you have the ability to change what you don’t like in your life. You can create positive vibrations with your thoughts that will attract positive things to you.
Don’t Leave It Up To Chance
Don’t let life happen to you. If you feel like you’re a victim of your circumstances, you’ll never be able to make life better for yourself. By thinking this way you will be giving all your power away. You must believe you have the power to make your life better. You either consciously or subconsciously create the reality of your life.
Daily Positive Affirmations
So how do you go about changing your thoughts especially if you’ve never considered them in the first place? The first easy step to take is to do daily affirmations. You might have heard of these but what are they all about?
Affirmations are positive statements that you repeat to yourself to create change in your life. With repetition, these statements eventually become beliefs. But how do they really work?

The Science Behind It
The brain processes 60,000 thoughts per day. But the brain is complex and is able to filter out what we don’t need. Otherwise, you would never be able to get anything done. Therefore the brain is very precise in how it works.
It only functions in the present tense and in literal statements. Therefore you want to be precise in the words you use for your affirmations to give them the most power.
Key Parts To Affirmations
Affirmations are always in the present tense. The brain works right away to process what say you say. So it works on direct commands. Say “I am” or “I do “, not “I will” or “I am going to”.
They shouldn’t contain any negative words. There’s a reason why they are called positive affirmations. Eliminate any “not” statements like can’t or don’t.
It’s important to say your affirmations as if it’s the truth. Remember your brain responds to literal commands. Say “I am beautiful” or I am smart” and avoid “might” or “could”.
How Does This Work?
If you believe that you are fat or ugly or not smart then telling yourself something different will seem unnatural at first. But over time, repeating the same positive statements like “I am beautiful”, “I am smart”, and “I am perfect the way I am” will start to change your thoughts.
Your brain will actually be creating new neural pathways. In scientific terms, this is called neuroplasticity. You are actually rewiring and reconditioning your brain to think differently.
You’re In Control
We all know people who have lost hundreds of pounds or gone back to school later in life to learn a new business or trade. You are capable of reprogramming your thoughts to create a new reality or to get a different result.
You can actually deprogram the negative beliefs that you have held onto, probably from your childhood, that are holding you back. But this does take conscious thought and repetition.
That’s why daily positive affirmations can actually change your thoughts and give you the power to create a new reality. Which in turn shows you how to make life better for yourself.
